The aim of this thread is to make a guide of places to visit one can refer to before visiting South Korea. The videos range from bustling tourist attractions to the not-so-known places that one can visit during their trip.

These videos are available on the youtube channel korea.net .

You can also post your own personal experiences, videos, guides and/or any helpful video you found on the internet!

Cheonggyecheon Stream

Cheonggyecheon is an 11 km-long modern stream that runs through downtown Seoul. Created as part of an urban renewal project, Cheonggyecheon is a restoration of the stream that was once there before during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). The stream was covered with an elevated highway after the Korean War (1950-1953), as part of the country's post-war economic development. Then in 2003, the elevated highway was removed to restore the stream to its present form today. The stream starts from Cheonggye Plaza, a popular cultural arts venue, and passes under a total of 22 bridges before flowing into the Hangang River, with many attractions along the way.

This is a night photo of Cheonggyecheon Stream. People are resting by the water.

Gwanghwamun Square

Gwanghwamun Square is divided into six sections. At its center stands a statue of King Sejong the Great, the fourth and most respected king of the Joseon Dynasty and creator of Hangeul, Korea's alphabet; and a statue of Admiral Yi Sunshin, a naval commander noted for his victories against the Japanese navy during the Japanese invasions of Korea (1592-1598) and a hero among Koreans. Other attractions include the popular 12.23 Fountain, a sculpture of Haechi (the symbol of Seoul), a flower carpet, and Yeoksamulgil (or the "Waterway of History") on either side of the square.

The statue of King Sejong is the square's focal point. In front of the statue, the main inventions from King Sejong's reign are on display, including the hangeul alphabet and scientific instruments such as a sundial, rain gauge and celestial globe. A nearby gallery tells "The Story of King Sejong," featuring a variety of materials and artifacts portraying the life and achievements of the great man himself.

Changdeokgung Palace (Donhwamun-ro),

Donhwamun-ro, the road connecting Donhwamun, the main gate of Changdeokgung Palace, and Seoul's Jongno-gu District, was the royal path for kings of the Joseon Dynasty. The Seoul Metropolitan Government last year refurbished the road to make it a street of history attractive for walking. Trees and facilities along the road from Jongo-3ga Station were adjusted as much as possible to maximize visibility of the open road. The width of the pedestrian path was also widened.

    • Jungkook earns praise for continuously supporting good causes as he helps sell-out a bracelet from a brand supporting abandoned animals
BTS's Jungkook is known for promoting small brands, companies as well as artists due to his enormous impact. He continues to support small brands with good purpose and cause, which thanked Jungkook in return for using his great influence and selling power.

Many brands, such as Downy, Kombucha, Delixir, Modern Hanbok company, LamodeChief, and more, saw a massive increase in their sales after he was seen using their products. Kombucha also received the 'Brand Of the Year' Award In Korea, enjoying the huge popularity which came after him drinking it on his VLive last year. The companies also repaid to society after the massive sales by donating millions under his name.

Recently, Jungkook was once again seen wearing the bracelet on his birthday live stream from Delixir, a brand supporting abandoned animals and dogs. The bracelet sold out in all sizes on their official site afterward due to his insane selling power.

Delixir reposted about Jungkook selling out their "Thin Onyx Layered Bracelet," which he wore during his birthday live on their Instagram story. They also updated information about restocking.

      Original IG post Credits: @Daily_JKUpdate

Jungkook was seen wearing the brand's items many times, causing all of them to be sold out. Due to the massive demand after JK was seen wearing their bracelet for the first time last year, Delixir opened a Twitter account and thanked Jungkook for his support.

Jungkook is praised for his kind heart for wearing the bracelet by Delixir, a small company supporting abandoned dogs and animals. A post also trended in the Top 10 on the K-Community, Nate Pann.

In the trending post, K-Netizens are praising Jungkook and sharing that as the company was very small, it used to donate very less donation but after he wore and sold out their bracelets after wearing it in his VLive last year, they donated millions (in Korean won) to shelters under Jungkook's name.
